I am a Connecticut Yankee and Baby Boomer in my 50's transplanted to Upstate New York after the Vietnam War and from there I have lived in several states across the country, including Hawaii. I worked in the fields of Electronics and then Computer Technology for many years.

I am retired now and am living and cruising aboard my Tanzer 7.5m Pocket Yacht, "Dutch Nirvana", which I bought in Lake George, NY in 2001. It is my liveaboard home for cruising around The Tropics. The Tropics being anyplace where the Sun shines most of the time and Winter is but a myth.

My Birthday Plans

Since I don't "do" birthday parties I've just planned out the day (Wednesday, July 30) to maximize fun. I'll start, as usual, at Ossorio's (a coffee house/wood-fired oven cafe) in Cocoa Village for an herbal tea and chat with my boating buddies and use their Wi-Fi to do my e-mail. Then I'll walk back home to have lunch - can't afford to spend too much on restaurant food since I now have rent to pay.

After lunch I'll take a bus to Cocoa Beach and have a pint or two at a Grand Opening of an Irish Pub around 2 PM (Nolan's - 1 mile North of 520 on A1A at Cornerstone Plaza (Publix)) with live Irish music, prizes and giveaways for a few hours. Then I'll take the bus back to Cocoa and have a seafood dinner at Norman's Raw Bar and Grill (corner of Forest and 520) about 6:30. I'm sure I'll tip a few there too. I'll end up at The Ultra Lounge (in the Village at 407 Brevard Ave.) at 8 for one of my favorite live music experiences - Josh Miller (one of the best blues men in Florida), Kenny Clarke (voted the best keyboard player in Brevard county in 2007 at the Brevard Music Awards) and Tom on drums. I'll probably leave for home after a couple of hours, and beers. That's my plans anyway. If you're in the area come by and say hi (and maybe buy me a beer [Grin]).

Just Another Monday

Well, I survived the weekendImage - at least Friday's partyingImage.  I went to Mangroves to hear the first couple of sets of Sybil Gage, an accomplished Jazz vocalist and then to Murdock's for Funkey Monkeys.  No B3 this weekImage as they had another guy sitting in on keyboards.  Murdock's was really packed when we got there but cleared out later.  This week I go back to the VA to get the results of the biopsy and weather the anti-biotics worked for me or not.  I'm feeling better so everything should be O.K.

I've started work on a couple of websites for others and am updating my Halloween and Xmas sites on one of my other web servers as opposed to Tripod, where I've been since  the 90's.  I might be moving my personal site there as I have a lot more space and there's no ads popin' up all over the place though it's probably a bit slower.  It's still in a state of flux though so don't expect everything to workImage.

I should be free for this coming weekend and plan to hear The Reflections Band at Cocoanuts on the Beach Saturday afternoon.  They're a Jazz combo with a great singer - Karen Griffin. That's the only thing I've definate for this coming weekend - we'll see what else'll pop upImage.

You might want to check out the first video on a friend's profile page (not her video's page - scroll down a bit) if you want a good laughImage.  She's anchored not far from me and it is truely a "Party Boat"Image.

Well, That's All Folks!
